Talent Development
We work to uncover talented artists from underrepresented groups. We then develop these artists by removing barriers, responding to individual needs and supporting artists with new opportunities, possibilities and experiences.
We do this through talent development projects that provide new opportunities and aim to address barriers by doing things differently.
Our Projects
ID Dance is produced by We Are Epic, supported by Arts Council and hosted at Attenborough Arts.
ID Dance
ID Dance is a talent development project for all bodies, minds and backgrounds.
Talented dancers from a variety of backgrounds in Leicester take part in weekly technique and creative classes, professional masterclasses and public performances to develop their skills and professional dance practice.
The project gives dancers an open and inclusive place to grow, learn and develop, enabling them to have new opportunities and explore future possibilities as artists.
EPIC Individuals is produced by We Are Epic, supported by Youth Music’s Shift The Scene Fund.
In September 2026, we are launching EPIC Individuals, a 4 year career pathway development project for Disabled artists between 18-30 years old. Through expert mentoring, financial resources and real-world experience, this project will help young Disabled artists to build careers on their own terms; shifting away from one-size-fits-all pipelines towards artist-led progression, and communicating the lessons learnt to the wider creative sector.
